Food Safety Inspector
Food & BeveragesFood inspectors work on behalf of a canton to ensure that companies that deal with food (production and retail companies, restaurants, etc.) comply with legal regulations, particularly in the area of hygiene. They carry out visual inspections, take simple measurements on site or take samples that are analysed in the cantonal laboratory. They also monitor the timely implementation of improvement measures.
