Hotel/catering managers organise the room service area in the nursing wards of a hospital or care home. Depending on the organisational structure, they are responsible for the entire catering area and the kitchen and/or laundry area. They are responsible for the management of employees, deployment, training and instruction of staff. They monitor compliance with hygiene and safety regulations, the billing of patient payments and menu costing.
