As an investment banker, you will work in the corporate finance or capital markets division of a bank and advise companies on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPOs) and the procurement of debt or equity capital. You will build complex financial models, prepare valuations and negotiate transactions often in the double-digit million range. You start after studying finance, economics or related subjects, the working hours are long and the remuneration is high with bonuses.
