As a founder or entrepreneur, you develop your own company from an idea and are responsible for everything: business model, financing, product, team, sales and growth. You bear the entrepreneurial risk, but enjoy maximum creative freedom. There is no fixed training path - some start a business straight after graduating, others after years in a particular sector; initiative, perseverance and a basic understanding of business management are crucial. Income fluctuates greatly: often low in the start-up phase, potentially high later on.
