Zoological taxidermists produce partial or complete specimens of animals for exhibitions, collections and teaching purposes. They work on the skins and skeletons of dead animals in various cleaning and conservation processes. Based on dimensional drawings, photos and sketches, they create a mould of the animal's body that is as true to life as possible or maintain or restore existing specimens.
