Customs Investigator HFP

Customs investigators check the movement of goods and examine them for legal violations. They uncover cases of smuggling and document forgery and thus help to collect the legally prescribed duties on imports. These duties include customs duties, value-added tax, tobacco tax and automobile tax as well as heavy goods vehicle, national road and steering taxes. In the event of offences against these laws, customs investigators initiate investigations, a criminal investigation or prosecution or demand payment of the missing amount.
