Traffic Expert

The majority of traffic experts work for the cantonal road traffic offices, where they are mainly responsible for two areas: They check whether people can safely drive a vehicle on the road (driving test) or assess the technical condition of a road vehicle (vehicle inspection). Traffic experts test vehicles for operational safety, compliance with regulations and environmental compatibility. They are familiar with the permissible measured values and the legal regulations. For specific questions, they have access to an extensive database that provides information on the content of the type certificates and licences of the vehicle in question.
