Subtitle Editor / Respeaker

Subtitle editors provide subtitles for pre-productions (documentaries, feature films and series) and semi-live programmes (such as news broadcasts). For live programmes such as sports broadcasts, they produce the subtitles themselves during the programme by means of respeaking. You dictate the spoken text into a microphone, which the speech recognition software then converts into written text.
