Theater Director FH
Creative & DesignTheatre directors FH are responsible for ensuring that a production is convincing as a whole and that everything is right: linguistic form, message, cast, stage design, costumes, make-up, sound and lighting. They determine the character of the performance and hold the organisational, artistic and content-related strings in their hands. They work closely with other theatre professionals. In independent productions, the work of theatre directors FH begins with the selection of the material, while the plays are usually assigned to them by the management if they are employed by a theatre. They deal intensively with the play or topic, research the background and discuss it with the dramaturge. They often also work on the play through spoken dialogue.
