Theatre Upholsterer

Upholsterers at the theatre upholster furniture for the theatre, decorate and cover walls, make curtains and drape them. During rehearsals and performances, they have to ensure that furniture and curtains are in place at the right time. Master upholsterers also organise the work and duties of the employees and are responsible for the production, storage and care of all the furniture. This task requires close co-operation with the set construction, direction and stage design departments.
