Playgroup Leader
Education & SocialPlaygroup leaders look after and support children from around two and a half years old until they reach compulsory school age. They meet in groups of up to ten children once or several times a week for a few hours. In their work, playgroup leaders are guided by the needs of the individual children and the group as well as by a pedagogical concept. Through careful observation, they recognise the needs and choose stimulating activities. Pre-school children learn about themselves and their environment primarily through play and are constantly gaining new experiences. They are very active, sensual and creative by nature and require sensitive, competent supervision. It is the task of the playgroup leader to support and accompany the children's free play.
