School-Based Special Needs Educator (SHP)

As a remedial teacher (SHP), you work at elementary school and support children with learning, behavioral or developmental difficulties - integratively in the mainstream class or in small groups. You draw up support plans, advise teachers and parents and help shape lessons. In contrast to broad special education (heilpaedagoge), you are clearly anchored in the school context and need a master's degree in special education with a specialization in SHP.
