Psychomotor Therapist
Education & SocialPsychomotor therapists work with children, adolescents and occasionally also with adults who show abnormalities in movement and behaviour. They provide them with learning experiences in the areas of gross, fine and graphomotor skills, perception and social behaviour. Every therapy programme begins with a specialist diagnosis. Psychomotor therapists use various methods to identify developmental disorders in clients. Based on the tests carried out, their observations and discussions with those affected, their carers and other specialists, they set therapy and support goals. Therapy can take place in individual sessions or small groups.
