Nursing Assistant
Health & MedicineNursing assistants take on simple nursing and caring tasks. They work in teams, always under the responsibility of trained carers. Depending on their area of responsibility, they also take on tasks relating to health promotion and organising the daily lives of the people in their care. For example, care assistants support people in need of care with personal hygiene, help them to dress and undress or with eating and drinking. They promote the mobility of those in their care with walks and movement exercises. They make sure that bedridden patients are lying comfortably. Nursing and caring for people with dementia is a particular challenge.
