Limnologist

Limnologists study inland waters such as lakes, rivers, and streams. They analyze water quality, aquatic ecosystems, and the impact of human activities on water bodies. In Switzerland, with over 1,500 lakes and numerous rivers, limnology is of great importance, and specialists work at Eawag, cantonal environmental offices, or universities.
