Full-time teachers at the university of applied sciences teach students in a specific profession. They provide them with the specialised knowledge required for their role in such a way that they can combine theory and practice and prepare them to take on specialist and management responsibilities. Depending on the specialisation and profession, they teach content from areas such as ­technology, business, hospitality, social and adult education, health, arts and design or agriculture and forestry. HF teachers plan lessons in accordance with the prescribed curricula and tailored to the students' previous education, interests, field of work and ability. They design the learning units to be as practical, interactive and varied as possible by using the appropriate teaching and learning materials.
