Conference Interpreter FH

Creative & Design

Conference interpreters FH translate spoken language from one language into another. If they do this at the moment of speaking, it is called simultaneous interpreting. They work on different levels at the same time: listening, analysing, processing, speaking, output control and saving the interim input. This technique is mainly used at conferences and congresses. With a delay of a few seconds, congress participants can follow the wording of the speech given in another language. In simultaneous interpreting, FH conference interpreters sit in a soundproof booth. They listen to the speaker's speech via headphones, have the speech in front of them in the form of a manuscript if possible and speak in a paragraph.
