Specialist in Radiology

Radiologists take images of the inside of the affected person if an illness is suspected or after an accident. Based on the images taken, they make a diagnosis and support the attending physicians in the choice of treatment. Radiologists also intervene: image-guided and minimally invasive for the removal of tissue or for the treatment of vascular diseases. Radiology specialists have a wide variety of imaging techniques at their disposal, which can be divided into two basic groups: Those that work with X-rays and those that also work without ionising radiation, such as magnetic resonance imaging. Once the images have been taken, they are analysed by the radiologist.
