Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)

The field of activity of specialists in otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose and throat diseases) includes the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of diseases, injuries and malformations of the ear, nose, paranasal sinuses, throat, larynx, salivary glands, base of the skull, face and neck. The ORL specialist uses highly developed technical equipment to examine patients, e.g. to test the function of the organs of hearing, balance, smell and taste or to examine voice disorders. An important part of the work of these specialists involves surgery. They often work together with other medical specialists, e.g. plastic surgeons and plastic surgeons.
