Specialist in Pediatrics

Health & Medicine

The main task of paediatric specialists (paediatricians) is to provide basic medical care for children and adolescents from birth to adulthood. Medical care is based on a personal relationship with the patients and their relatives and takes into account the physical, psychological and social - especially family and school - aspects of an illness. Preventive measures such as vaccinations, postural prophylaxis and addiction prevention play an important role in paediatric and adolescent medicine. Paediatricians are committed to protecting the rights of children and adolescents and work closely with health and education institutions.
