Timber Merchant Buyer/Seller

Purchasing agents in the timber trade buy raw materials, round timber or wood-based materials (chipboard, parquet, insulation material and accessories, etc.) directly from forest owners, sawmills and factories in Switzerland and abroad. You are also responsible for selling the products to joineries and furniture factories. You will liaise with suppliers and customers, process quotations, prepare calculations and deal with complaints. You will be familiar with the grading, measuring, storage, drying and utilisation of sawn timber.
