Chief Operating Officer (COO)

As COO, you manage the operational business of a company and ensure that the CEO's strategy is implemented on a day-to-day basis. You are responsible for processes, delivery capability, quality and cooperation between the divisions. You are part of the management team and usually the number two behind the CEO. It's a long way to get there via divisional and operational management.
