Disabled sports instructors teach children, young people, adults and older people with disabilities how to enjoy exercise and sport. The performance level of the participants can vary greatly. For many of those involved in sport, the focus is not on performance-orientated training but, in addition to personal fitness, on promoting balance, self-confidence, mental strength and the ability to concentrate and, last but not least, social contacts. Disabled sports instructors organise training sessions that are specially tailored to the requirements and needs of the participants.
