Audio Pedagogue
Education & SocialAudioagogues support hearing-impaired adults in mastering challenging communication situations at work and at home. They lead hearing training sessions with lip reading and offer individual training for people with cochlear implants (hearing aids for people for whom conventional devices are of little use). The professionals also give courses for companies, schools and social and healthcare institutions and sensitise participants to the topics of hearing and hearing loss. In hearing training with lip-reading, audio educators train people with hearing loss to recognise speech movements or lip-read and process speech. They help those affected to become accustomed to changing auditory impressions and to improve their hearing.
