Astronomer
Chemistry & PharmaAstronomers study space outside the Earth's atmosphere and the movement of natural and artificial celestial bodies. Observational astronomy uses photographic images, photoelectric measurements, radio telescopes and satellites to try to recognise the orbits and properties of celestial bodies and the radiation coming from space. For example, the exact positions of the observed objects and their relative movements can be determined from the precise orbits of artificial earth satellites. Theoretical astronomy and astrophysics interpret the observations on the basis of physical laws and mathematical methods and also attempt to develop scenarios for the future.
